Game spotlight:
Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not too expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.
Clash Royale:
Clash royale is a strategy game on mobile device that is played 1v1 online.
You can play in a normal battle mode and a tournament mode which you don't unlock till level 8. Each player has two small towers and one large tower, if you destroy your opponents' large tower you win. From winning a game you will be given a chest.
There are seven different types of chest each gives you some gold and a number of cards, each card can be upgraded and is used to battle your opponents.
Overall there are 65 different cards that are made up of troops, spells and buildings;
Spear Goblins
Babydragon
Arrows
Tombstone
Hogrider
Each card costs a different amount to play, the more cost the stronger the card. You can have ranged and melee minions and some cards will also spawn multiple minions, there are a few different spell cards that are usually used for clearing large numbers of small minions or taking out towers. The buildings will constantly spawn a type of minion over their duration and will often spawn a few minions on death.
As Clash Royale is an app there is always the pay to win aspect, where you can put money on to boost yourself ahead however you can still do well without spending money because the game is very strategic and is a lot about out manoeuvring your opponents.
Overall I think Clash Royale is a lot of fun to play and is one of those apps you can end up getting addicted to and playing every time you get your phone out, also because there are so many cards you can build a wide range of decks to play as. This also gives you something to play towards as it will take a lot of playing to get every card in the game.
clash royale is my favorite game of all my like
