Geist's third choral prelude is based on the melody of "Allenaste Gut i himmelrik", in other parts of the world known as "Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr".
It is very different from the other two. It does not feature the chorale melody as an elaborated solo voice. It is more like a hymn setting, in which part of the choral melody is played with the pedals.
The chorale melody has the so called Bar-form: the first part of the elody is repeated, after which follows a first part. Schematically this form is represented as A-A-B. The first A is played with the pedals as bass voice, the second A and the B are palyed with the right hand as soprano voice.
It is a solidly written composition, based on a solid chorale melody. The registyration in my performance is therefore an equally soli principal chorus, in the last bar even joined with the Prestant 32 in the pedals. Though you need good headphones to really hear it.
The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Sonus Paradisi, of the Schittger organ in the St. Martini-kerk, Groningen (http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/netherlands/groningen-st-martini.html).

Hi Auke, I clicked on the link to download this score, but I cannot find it. The last-posted score is Rudolf Löw's "Der Tag der ist so freudenreich."

I messed up the link. Corrected now.
The score is one of my older ones, so won't find it in the list of recently posted scores. You can always look for a specific composer's works by clincking the "Composer"link.

Thank you, Auke, and thank you for your invaluable work of making available these compositional gems which would likely otherwise go unnoticed. Your work and contribution to the organ music world is completely unique and much appreciated. I have become especially fond of the music of Ernest Grosjean, a composer of whom I had no knowledge until you posted recordings of his music. Thank you again for your excellent, diligent work, making the world a richer and more pleasant place by giving great but overlooked music the opportunity of being easily performed and heard today.

As always it is very nice to hear the execution of the organ in your hands.
Reflection: sometimes I think of the wonderful creativity of man who with only 8 notes has achieved an infinite world of melodies.
A cordial greeting @partitura

Nice reflection. The basic material is simple. Yet the ways to arrange and combine them is endless, only bound and given form by the creativity of the best of (wo)men.
