Everyone knows that there are "Four Last Songs" by Richard Strauss, but he actually wrote a fifth one, "Malven". only it's for soprano and piano.
I thought that one day I'd like to have a "Five Last Songs" in my program, so I've just orchestrated "Malven" ... this is my first pass anyway, trying to squeeze the sound of late Strauss's orchestration out of this very skeletal piano score. It's a computer simulation - if I eventually record this, I'll post it.
