[7.1ch] Woody & WDR-Funkhausorchester - Final Fantasy X: Full Concert (+ fan-made pipe organ track)

in classical-music •  4 years ago  (edited)

Those who already took a listen at the "Zanarkand" piece (see my recent blog post for reference) might have waited for this: The full concert with my HW organ play-along to the orchestra version, which normally would not allow an organ in there due to its filigree texture.

Just like the "Breath of the Pipes" album from last year, the "FF:X Full Concert" is a live orchestra recording, where I played along on my HW setup to add some depth and "extra warmth", this time featuring the Western German Broadcast Studio Orchestra ("WDR-Funkhausorchester") and master pianist Benyamin Nuss, who himself is an active participant and performer for the Final Fantasy series video game sound track.

7.1 surround FLAC and 320kbps stereo MP3 versions of the "reORGANized" live concert can be downloaded here:

Current versions of Media Player Classic are able to properly play multi-channel FLAC files. Like all my other recordings, the music is completely improvised, so there is no sheet music available.

Courtesy to the Western German Broadcast Studio Orchestra ("WDR Funkhausorchester") for providing the live performance recording.
