I admit that I'm a big fan of Dupré's "Variations sur un Noël" and most notably the melody of the original chant in it which is so sticky and memorizable...
Since Christmas is only one and a half weeks away and I had this piece in mind a few times already, I decided to not postpone it any longer, get rid of all the excuses why not to record it -- and eventually sat down on the bench.
Since I still rely on my ears, it's not the exact Dupré version, but instead an homage with my own ideas, registration and expression mixed in. Hope you'll enjoy "les nouveau variations"! :-)
For those who own a 7.1 surround system, an 8-channel FLAC file can be picked up here to get an impression of what it will sound like in my living room:

Yes, I'm fully aware of that, despite of the bit of a winking humor that I tried to put into my previous answer... ;)
I had a short exchange of thoughts on that topic with @contrabourdon yesterday, where I tried to explain my disabilities with producing "readable" output instead of "just some output" and asked for some volunteering. i like this kind of slow music. but to be honest to almost 5 minutes the tone was higher and the music short of changed volume and emotion..... that was weird for me.

If you're familiar with the original "Variations Sur Un Noël" by Marcel Dupré, then you might probably know that the piece offers a wide variety of moods, expression (in terms of registration, tempo, articulation and other criteria). That's what I tried to give as a hint through my choice of the title.
If you're not familiar with the original, then I can totally understand your confusion: What I did indeed not take into account was the fact that those who've never heard of or listened to Dupré before would stumble upon this piece, which almost has his name carved into it. :-)
