listening to a car like a fine tuned instrument

This little boy is C. I've known him for a good part of his life. He's now 16. Recently, I noticed a very well loved 76' Capri in the driveway. C is enjoying restoring and driving his mom's car.

JNET: "The car looks great. C might like showing it off at Bob's Big Boy classic car night."

C's Parents: "Miss JNET, want to join us for dinner? Let's go to Bob's this Friday!"

C was the only high school kid showing off his daily driver. He listens to his car like a fine tuned instrument. He enjoys details, notices nuances, and is quite discerning with what he hears and sees. I wasn't surprised how well he researched to find parts to do the restoration work himself. Whenever he heard a piece of music he liked, he would search the internet for an arrangement that suited him and bring it to his lesson. He chose impressive and fun advanced arrangements.

C's mom is thrilled her Capri is getting loads of love. This was the car of adventurous youthful road trips while she was teaching abroad. The car was an important part of her life journey. She had hopes of it going to her someday child. Child was born, child grew up, now he loves the car and is having his own adventures.

While at Bob's Big Boy, a man from the local news approached C and I. We found ourselves getting interviewed.

That was fun and a little nerve wracking, (I get shy around cameras unless I'm in costume, makeup and on a stage.) but C loved the impromptu interview....

Enjoy!
