Jim Steele was the Director of the Sierra Nevada Field Campus of San Francisco State University from 1985 to 2009. Having taught courses on plants, natural sciences, bird banding and bird identification, his research into the causes of the declines in local bird populations led him to the understanding that natural climate cycles and landscape changes were causing disruptions of wildlife populations. He went on to author a book, Landscapes & Cycles: An Environmentalist's Journey to Climate Skepticism, and a website, LandscapesAndCycles.net where he explores how faulty, over-hyped C02-driven climate change fears are misdirecting environmental researchers and activists away from the true cause of environmental disruption.

What is the expected structure of carbon taxes?
Would they depend on whether an entity has a car or not? on the model of the car? on amount of use of public transportation?
On whether a person uses gas to cook food or electric plate?

The more disturbing thing about the "carbon tax" is the fact people don't understand the legal precedence it opens.
We are carbon-based-lifeforms. We exhale carbon. Passing a "carbon tax" paves the way for the possibility of taxation on breathing.
Not to mention it's just oil 2.0

Obviously it is taxation that favors the rich, due to them paying the least relative to what they have.
Carbon excretion does not closely follow personal wealth in a 1:1 ratio.
Carbon tax is closer to taxation that taxes everyone, unrelated to their wealth, and therefore will be a small expense for the rich, and a big expense for the poor and the average.

I think an important aspect to understand, for scientists like myself - is that the incredible diverse spectrum of genetic frequency did not evolve from static conditions over long periods of time.
It required massive and periodic acute changes in climate and environment over the ages. Whether that be in rapid "pockets" of change, or over long periods of time - at the end of the day, that change in environment/climate is what precipitated the evolution of species as they tried to adapt and overcome.
Climate change has always been a real thing. But to pin that drastic change on a singular species, at a specific point in time throughout the eons of ages before us, would be to completely ignore the underpinnings of science. If the climate stayed the same, regardless of human or other species' activity, for all time - there would be no motivational aspect for evolution. Logically - none of our current species would even exist according to Darwinian Theory.
As such - I do believe it is critical to explore the climate/environment shifts that have previously happened to the best of our knowledge. I believe it is important to explore what the causal factors of those shifts were and what their frequency is. But, to take the entire of scientifically derived climate history of this planet and blame drastic changes on the activity of a rather recent species (mankind, historically speaking) is to ignore the basic principles of science and pursue an agenda instead of the truth.

You know what I find amazing❓It is how many of you GENIUSES say they know for sure it isn’t carbon , but don’t mention that gigantic ball of gas ( OUR STAR) that comes over our heads everyday like clockwork ⏰ ⁉️ I’m only an amateur scientist and even I know that if you don’t include a GIGANTIC VARIABLE like our sun , then your models are all WRONG❗️We have to stop pretending we live in candyland 🍭 ❗️The universe is a very HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT . We got lucky and have a sweet spot . But we rotate on our axis @ around 1,000 MPH . We also circle the sun at 67,000 MPH . And are traveling through the universe at 514,000 MPH . A universe that is full of debris and HUGE unknowns . Ask Donald Rumsfeld about known knows , and unknown knows , and known unknowns . The guy is a criminal WACK JOB , but he makes a good point when referencing the unknowns . And our travel through space is a very big unknown . Like the age of the universe is a great unknown , but some mainstream scientists have taken to state in some very lose theories that they know the age of the universe❓I call BULLSHIT . They can’t predict the weather , but they know the age of the universe⁉️🤣 RIDICULOUS❗️The sun is very active right now , and clues to its age are appearing like the white hairs on an old persons head . All the planets in this system have lost their ice caps . So there is some kind of warming going on , but we’re also a very complex system . So we could be flying through some part of space in which it affects our system in different ways . Or the sun could be older then first thought , and she is swelling (THE SUN) before she goes supernova❓It won’t be for thousands of years , but we better find a new home if thats the case . All not included in anyone’s models⁉️ WHY❓This glass bowel living that we’re so use to is going to come back and bite us in the ass one day . And it’s because of sheer arrogance . Believing your IT in the universe is just stupid , like driving at night with your lights off .
