Time to go carbon negative?

We are further along in triggering positive feedback than climate scientists can admit, because they have linear models and wait for "scientific certainty", or over 95% confidence in trend measurements - which lag years behind reality. They are also in denial over the 70% loss of oceanic phytoplankton and the melting clathrates in Arctic, Antarctic, Northern boreal forests, conshelves, and ocean deeps.

Positive feedback is inherently exponential rather than linear, and we have poorly defined baselines for these measurements in remote places. The phytoplankton have three critical functions: they are the base of the entire photozone food chain and oceanic biomass; they produced 70% of the Oxygen supply for the planet; and in the same photosynthesis process were 70% of the CO2 remediation. This means we have lost 50% of our Oxygen supply and 50% of the CO2 reduction mechanism quite recently (probably in the last ~40 years, and this is NOT IN ANY CLIMATE MODELS.

The methane that is bubbling out of the ocean bottom in the benthic zone is currently being eaten by methanogenic bacteria and turned into CO2. This is increasing the oceanic concentration of CO2, accelerating ocean acidification, killing molluscs and corals; and also depleting subducted Oxygen which will suffocate all the aerobic life forms in the deeps. Basically, we are turning the entire ocean into a dying cesspool beyond the reach of technology to measure or repair the damage.
