Upset by his narrow loss to Republican presidential nominee George W. Bush in 2000, then-Vice President Al Gore found solace not in challenging Bush four years later, but in becoming the biggest hawker of ‘global warming/climate change’ there ever was.
It’s paid off for the former VEEP — literally.
As noted by the UK’s Telegraph in 2009, Gore was poised then to become the world’s first “carbon billionaire after investing heavily in green companies.”
In fact, as The New York Times reported that same year, “Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy.”
So with these facts in mind, it becomes easier to understand how a grown man could make such wild, unsubstantiated claims about climate patterns and how humans are allegedly affecting them with modern technology (which Gore invests in, heavily, and for a profit).
As reported by Gulf News, and cited by Climate Depot, Gore traveled to the Gulf state of Dubai recently and declared that strange weather such as “flying rivers” and “rain bombs” are part of newly forming ill-effects of “climate change.”
Yes, you read that right. Personally, I’ve never seen these weather phenomena, but then again, I don’t run around in Gore’s circle.
The paper noted further:
He described flying or atmospheric rivers as long streams of rain-bearing clouds that carry huge amounts of water vapor over long distances, ending as heavy rain bombs over a small, concentrated area. Gore said a city in California was recently hit by such weather, with the ‘river’ in the air having flown thousands of kilometers from an area in the Pacific Ocean
Gore also said climate change could make large parts of the Middle East uninhabitable, which would create “climate refugees”, who would clash with settled populations in cities.
Well, that clears it up. It appears that at some point after he was vice president, Gore also went to meteorology school. Oh, wait…I just checked his biography. Scratch that. He’s no meteorologist, he just plays one at Middle Eastern conferences. But since he’s a Left-wing “environmentalist,” people allow him the latitude of saying such things without challenging him on where he gets his information. 
That helps explain why real climate experts have not only debunked Gore repeatedly but have pooh-poohed the ‘findings’ in his 2017 box office bomb, “An Inconvenient Sequel” (to the 2006 movie “An Inconvenient Truth” in which none of the dire predictions he made about the Earth, the climate, and global warming came true).
As noted by Climate Depot’s Marc Morano, one critic referred to Gore’s asinine claims as “weather porn.”
“Cherry-picked extremes. The long tenuous chain of cause and effect was glossed over repeatedly with handwaving,” wrote climate skeptic Jo Nova. “The system was the most complex on earth, yet somehow scientists know what causes what…. This is a never-ending game for Gore. Until we get perfect weather on Earth, on all 150 million square kilometers terra firma, he will always be able to say ‘boo.’”
In his own book, “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change,” Morano writes in Chapter 12:
Extreme weather expert Roger Pielke Jr., a former professor in the Environmental Studies Program at the University of Colorado and author of the 2014 book The Rightful Place of Science: Disasters and Climate Change, has repeatedly testified to Congress, most recently in 2017, that there is “no evidence” that hurricanes, floods, droughts, tornadoes are increasing.
“The world is presently in an era of unusually low weather disasters. This holds for the weather phenomena that have historically caused the most damage: tropical cyclones, floods, tornadoes and drought.,” Pielke said in July 2017.
It’s not clear whether anyone in Dubai believed Gore’s climate gibberish. But given the personal fortune he plans to make from hawking such nonsense, it’s easy to see why he says such things.
