Fuck It, Before It Fucks You #135 (...and wind is as hot as a flame)

Hey what is up internetz? It’s me here again on a Friday morning now, because I continue to have a job in retail for some reason, so my schedule continues to change. One of these days I’ll make my own working hours, but today is not that day. At least when I’m dead I won’t have to worry about making a living anymore, so there’s always that to look forward to. B ut in the meantime, there’s this. *gestures vaguely”. So let’s try to make the best of it.

So climate change is a thing still, and I notice that when people talk about it, they never really talk about the biggest emitter of CO2 in the world, the U.S. Military. Bigger than any country. Bigger than Russia, Bigger than the U.S. itself, bigger than China.. But I never hear people talk about that in their climate change discussion. People always talk about whether it’s more on corporations or consumers to change their behavior. Personally, I think it’s on consumers to hold corporations accountable, because if you leave it to the people who benefit most from the system then they’re just going to launch some fake ass “green initiative” while making as little substantive change as they can get away with. Which isn’t very much because a lot of people will just see a green label on something and assume it’s better for the environment. Meanwhile all they really did was raise the price and put the proceeds towards the boss clearly compensating for his small penis with a dick shaped rocket. BUT! Even he has nowhere near the carbon footprint of the U.S. Military, with all of their ships, and jets, and drones and tanks and jeeps and whathaveyou just spraying CO2 non-stop all over the globe. But we can’t even talk about cutting back on that. Gotta protect our privileged way of life from all the scary bad guys. Because when the world eventually is a smoking ball of shit, we want to be king of the ashes.
But speaking of scary bad guys. My favorite twist in 1984 was learning that The Brotherhood was controlled by the Inner Party. Pretty brilliant of them, really. Invent an underground resistance to lure in thought criminals. So it’s nice to see our government following right along with Orwell in lockstep as usual. Apparently the FBI’s hobby these days is to find people becoming radicalized, push them over the edge, and incite them to carry out terrorist attacks for them to “stop”. They “Stop” it, look like heroes, plus now the public is just a little more afraid, so they get more funding and more power to fight terrorists and nobody questions why 2/3s of the crew were confidential informants. Don’t worry about that. Now that they have their extra money they’ll use it to “stop” more terrorist attacks and get even more funding next year.
But I’m on a tangent, my original point was to say that yes, consumers can make an impact by simply not spending money, but they can make an even bigger one by not paying taxes. But hey, if you work hard, play by the rules, put in all your hours and never take a sick day then one day your boss will ride a giant dick into space, and while he’s up there you can finally take a break. So you figure out what to do. And I’ll just say fuck it, before it fucks you.
