My mum died of breast cancer 2 years ago.
So I was afraid of being diagnosed with cancer when I noticed this lump about 2 months ago.

Her condition was quite bad and she was in pain at some point in the illness.
But mine is not painful.

'Miss Tayo, Pain is not synonymous with cancer . In fact a lot of cancer present without pain.
Pain is usually due to advanced stage of the tumour or the tumour is trapping down a nerve.

For full review of woman presenting with breast lump, At least three steps are followed.

1. Breast Examination
2. Radiological investigation ( breast scan and / or mammogram)
3. Tissue diagnosis

What of the primary complaints that brought me to the hospital. What is causing my chest and back pain.

Does it means the cancer has spread to my bones.

I haven't said you have breast cancer.
You only have a lump in your breast. However , you have a very strong family history of breast cancer. Which means the lump has to be evaluated in time.
