I'd like to share a render of my Marvelous Designer leather jacket.
This jacket is a dynamic 3D clothing model made in Marvelous Designer and rendered in Keyshot.
What is Marvelous Designer?
MD is a cloth simulation program. Marvelous Designer jackets are dynamic, meaning they adjust to the 3D avatar's pose and move in a realistic manner during simulation and animation.
Marvelous Designer jackets are used for games, 3D animations, VR worlds, digital doubles in films, and for 3D art.
How are Marvelous Designer leather jackets made?
Just like in the real world, 3D jackets in MD are made from clothing pattern pieces.
The jacket patterns are drafted, cut, designed, sewn together and then simulated on a 3D avatar.
To create a leather jacket in Marvelous Designer, a leather physical property preset is applied to the pattern pieces to control how the fabric simulates.
