The data you store in the cloud must be segregated from that of other clients

One of the most problematic issues that is going to strike us in the near future is the cross infection of systems.

Currently there are no sane arguments to support insisting on a totally isolated the violin from the cloud storage provider, but the future in cyber security is always very exciting, and surprises us every single day.

Therefore, it is not only my opinion that cross infections of systems, particularly with so much sensitive data in one physical location, May easily become the target of attackers. Whether these Attacks will be targeted or Not is quite irrelevant.

Requesting something like this from a cloud provider is probably going to piss them off in the first instance, but at the end it’s about you providing a secure environment for your data.

Yes, I have heard all of the arguments. My data is not important, it does not justify taking so much action to protect it, etc. 

Truth of the matter is that it doesn’t even have to be your data that the attackers or after, but the data of another company hosting with that cloud service.

Your data could easily become collateral damage in an attempt to extract that data of another client coincidentally hosted on the same server you ended up on.
