Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing great and having a nice start of the weekend with your families and loved ones!
On this side of the world, today was the 2nd day of fasting for this year's Ramadan month and as usual I am here sharing with you the different dishes we prepared for our Iftaar table!
As mentioned yesterday, I will try my best to be present as often as I can and write a daily blog based on our Iftaar table where you will find yummy dishes - Both sweet and savory ones!
Let's go for Iftaar Table Number 02!!!
Me, my wife, my daughter and my 2 nephews!
My son Omar is not interested with the foods and spend most of his time playing around...that's why he is not on the photos!
Otherwise, my mum has her Iftaar on the table of my brother together with her wife and 2 kids!
Let's discover what were on the table today...
For the 2nd Iftaar Table for this year, it was yet another one full of yummy dishes!
And the main dish for the day was a beef and potato gratin with lots of mozzarella cheese which we enjoyed with some French baguette!
And yes...it was my wife who prepared this super delicious gratin!!!
Different snacks and chicken wrap...
The wrap was from my sister in law and was filled with salads and chicken...I loved the way she wrapped them!
Samosas...Chicken Tika...Chicken Skewers...sauces and drinks!!!
We love these fried foods though we know they are not so healthy specially during Ramadan...
But to balance things out, I also put out some nice juices and fruits like watermelon which is great to have after a long day fasting!
Traditional Moroccan Harira soup!
This soup will be present very often on our Iftaar Table as it is a dish that is very much loved by Moroccans during Iftaar time!
Harira soup is usually enjoyed with a sweet snack, Chabakia or some almond samosas!
My daughter was so happy too...
She mainly had the beef and potato gratin...and she also help to set the table together with me everyday!
This is the magic of Ramadan where everyone gets together and eat together!
In normal days...I am not at home and my wife and kids have their dinner without me...but for this month of Ramadan, I make my best to be with them everyday!
Looking forward to the 3rd one coming up tomorrow...
I just talked with my wife about tomorrow's Iftaar Table and we decided to make some home made pizza! So yeah...tomorrow will be amazing again!
Stay tuned for our 3rd Iftaar table!
I hope you are enjoying this series and will give it some support!
Thanks for reading and wish you a lovely day/evening ahead!
Best Regards!
