Greetings of the day everyone!
What a nice pleasure being back writing after 2 days, where I was just too tired and could not find time to write my daily iftaar post!
But anyway, here I am today sharing the past 3 Iftaar Tables that we set up at my place to break our fast during sun set!
We already completed the 8th day of fasting today and in a blink of an eye we will complete the 2nd week!

Iftaar Table Number 06 and 07!
I will start with the past 2 tables before sharing the one we prepared earlier today!
As usual we set up our tables with all types of foods ranging from sweets to savory as well as different drinks...and chocolates too!!!
Stuffed Pancakes with bechamel and mozzarella!!!
This was our main dish for the night and well...it was super delicious!!!
Qatayef / Wraps / Indian Sweets!!!
Apart from the Indian sweets that you can find below, all the rest were homemade and one of my favorite on the table recently was the Qatayef!
They are a pancake stuffed with cheese, fried and soaked in syrup...then topped with crushed pistachios!!!
Braised Beef Wraps!!!
We had some braised beef which was left over and decided to make some wraps with them!
Assorted Indian Sweets!
We Mauritians we love these Indian Sweets and they are so famous here...here you can find Barfi which is mainly made with milk and Laddoo the round one made with chickpeas flour!
Fried Snacks as usual were present...
These can't be missed...and are always present!
Iftaar Table Number 08!
So yes, today was our 8th Iftaar table for this year's Ramadan and was again full of delicious foods!
Oh well...we even had some McDonald's today!!! Just imagine how much the kids were happy!!!
McDonald's on the request of my daughter Rheem...
She made the request when she came back from school...and I could not refuse here!
It was a hard week for her at school as she is undergoing the exams for the first term!
As usual she had her spicy McChicken with some nuggets and vanilla ice latte!!!
Fruits, water, teas and juices...very much needed during these harsh summer days!!!
It is really very hot these days and after a hard day fasting, one's body just want to rehydrate and there's nothing better than fruits, water, teas and juices...
Eggplant and Chili Fritter made by mom!
She knows how much I love these fritters and cooked it for me today!
I ate a lot actually...with a hot chutney made by her once again!
Mini Pizza and Mini loaves with cheese from my sister in law!
Our Iftaar table is actually a contribution from different people that are closed to me.
Some foods are from my wife, others from my sisters, then we also have some from my sister in law...and in the end, my table if full of yummy dishes!
First week of Ramadan completed...
Usually the first week seems to pass by slowly...but once we start the 2nd week, things will fly!
Mainly because we will start our preparations for Eid...which takes a lot of time!
So here we are friends, the different foods we had the last 3 days at my place to break our fast!
