Hello lovely people of the Steemit world!
It is as usual with an immense pleasure that I am writing another post on my blog and here I am today to show you our Iftaar Table Number 13 and 14!
Today we completed the 15th day of fasting for the month of Ramadan and now we are left with 2 weeks of fasting before we celebrate Eid!
Without losing too much time, let dive into table number 13!
Ps. A lot of photos will follow...enjoy!
Iftaar Table Number 13!
This was 2 days back and as you can see...it was yet another table full of yummy dishes!
Snacks...Drinks...Fruits!
On the snacks side we had our usual Samosas with beef as well as Halfmoon with cheese and corn!
Chicken Tika...from my sister!
It was my sister who sent us this and we fried the chicken tika after dipping them in beaten eggs!
Chicken Tika is one of the most favorite classic snacks of Mauritius!
Fresh Fruits as well as frozen berries!
The fresh fruits were on the table to eat as is while the frozen berries was to make milkshake for my daughter!
Milkshake is very much enjoyed during these hot summer days here in Mauritius!
Main dish : Big Prawns in tomato sauce!
This time, it was my request to cook these prawns in tomato sauce and my wife perfectly cooked them!
I enjoyed this yummy dish with some steamed rice!
Chicken Panini too...
Last but not least, on table number 13, we also had some mini chicken panini with a lot of cheese inside!
I was the one preparing these paninis earlier during the day!
Iftaar Table Number 14!
Now let me show you what there were on the 14th table...which was yesterday!
More than usual...
Table number 14 was a bit special as we also shared some foods with some needy people...
So yes, we had more foods than usual and I will briefly show you around!
Fried Snacks : Chicken Samosas / Halfmoon Corn and Cheese / Fish Spring Rolls / Chicken Wantan!!!
On top of the 4 different fried snacks, we also had the usual drinks and fruits on the table!
We had fresh fruits as well as dried ones like dates and figs!
Harira Soup present too!
After some days of absence, we had the harira soup back on the table!
Just for your info, this soup is present everyday on Moroccans Iftaar Table...and my wife is Moroccan!
Mini Pizza and Stuffed Batbout as main course!
It was a lot of work to prepare table number 14...
But we all did it with the same passion since day 1!
For our main course for table number 14, my wife made some chicken pizza and stuffed batbout bread with beef, salad and cheese!
So here we are friends, my iftaar table number 13 and 14...
Yeah...a lot of different foods, and I can confirm...everything was super yummy!
