On this side of the world, today we completed the 24th day of fasting and now we are into the last few days of fasting before Eid is here!
It looks like we will celebrate Eid on this coming Saturday! All depends on the visibility of the moon of course!
This week will fly for sure as we will be more busy than usual...getting ready for Eid!
Let's get back to Iftaar Tables...yes my friends, today I am here to present the tables number 21, 22 and 23! We will have only less than 6 tables more to go and then we will have to wait until next year to set up Iftaar Tables!
Iftaar Table Number 21!
Turkish Beef Barquette! Super Yummy!
This was a dish made by my wife some years back and since the time I tasted it...I just loved it!
And for the 21st Iftaar table, she made these yummy barquettes once again!
Couple of beignets...
We had shrimp and chicken beignets called croquette in Mauritius...
And also a vegetarian version one named : Badjia!
Home made Taro fritters by mom!
This is one fried snack that is so loved by everyone and we enjoy it with some hot coriander chutney!
Delicious table with couple of drinks and sweets!
Overall table number 21 was again awesome and we all loved it!
We had teas and juices as well as some chocolates bars..
Iftaar Table Number 22!
Moving one to the 22nd one...
You will see the change of my table...
We actually changed our white table for this wooden one...so you will see this one as from now on!
Chicken Biryani as our main dish!
This was on Friday and we were really very busy that day...running here and there whole day!
And in fact, I made this 22nd Iftaar table at my brother's place and ate together with his family! While my wife and daughter were out at the hairdresser!
Different fruit cuts...drinks and salads!
Fruits were very much present on that table.
Fresh ones as well as dried ones!
Some fried snacks and we were good!
When having biryani as main dish, it is not easy eating snacks as much as we usual eat!
I just ate 2 pcs of these fried beignets and my biryani filled me up completely!
A lot of water for sure...
Iftaar Table Number 23!
Let's discover the 23rd Iftaar table for this year's Ramadan!
So this one was for yesterday and the main dishes were :
Baked chicken with potatoes and Mozzarella!
And also : Stir Fried Noodles with chicken and eggs...
This was from my sister in law! I ate little bit in everything...
Dumplings in chicken broth...
I made the Christophinia dumplings during the day at work and we added some fish ones inside the broth...it was super delicious!
Eggplant fritters...made by mom and the exact way that I love it!
I always try to make these eggplants fritters like mom...but they never come same!
Yesterday she made some...and yes...they came out as usual! Love it!
Table 23 was amazing too...on well everyday we try our best making the best table we can so that everyone can find something to eat and satisfy themself!
