TRW Clutch Pump leak, defected unit

in clutch •  7 years ago  (edited)

After 6PM which is after working hours, as I was leaving the car park area, suddenly my clutch gone light again...

Very very light, even worse than the previous encounter. It was quite dangerous to drive but I managed to stop at roadside to go for a check...

From the engine hood, it looks okay, so I squat down underneath the car and found this...

Notice underneath that black stain of drops, that's brake oil. Clutch pump and brake system uses the same oil reservoir...

Luckily my brake still works well, look at the brake reservoir

Half gone, but I managed to drive it home safe...

After sending to the same workshop and diagnosed again, here's the main culprit

Congratulations to me, a defective clutch pump. Forced me to get a new one, this time original from Mitsubishi (I traveled all the way to Cheras for this part)

And the worksmanship is another RM300 again. Luckily I'm able to claim back the money for the faulty part. But still the hassle and the worries, definitely a bad year for my car... and me I guess?
