These shrubs from China produce the most beautiful flowers.

Chaenomeles is a genus of three species of deciduous Asian spiny shrubs, related to the "Chinese Quince". They produce apple-like fruit with a bitter taste. In Japan, they are often used for cultivation as a bonsai.
