A bowl of Mee Sua on Chor 11 (初十一)

Chinese New Year day eleven aka Chor 11. This is normally what we will have Mee Sua/Misua.

Misua signifies long life in Chinese culture. Misua are a very thin variety of salted noodles made from wheat flour. They originated in Fujian, China.

It is served in different ways in different cultures. The way that is usually serve is to have it in chicken or pork & ginger broth mixed with a generous serving of red rice wine and topped with a hard boiled egg.
