在2017年的时候，信用机构Equifax发生了大规模的数据泄密事件。这件事件有多严重呢？总共1.47亿人的用户信息（包括姓名、社保号码、出生日期、居住地址甚至是一部分民众的驾驶证件号码与信用卡号码）被泄密。这可是一半美国人的数量！
不知道是不幸还是幸运，我也在被泄密的名单上。
不幸的是，我的个人信息可能会被不法份子盗用，用于不法的事情。
幸运的是，Equifax拿出了4.25亿美元的赔偿金给信息被泄密的用户。被泄密的用户每人可选择长达10年的免费信贷监控或者拿到$125赔偿金
我当然毫不犹豫的选择了后者，拿$125赔偿金,毕竟他们家出事了，我还怎么用他们家的信贷监控。
除了上面2种赔偿方式外，如果因Equifax而支付了费用，可以进行现金赔偿（最多每人2万美元）
