《沙丘》的设定是两万年后，灵感来自一千年前。
不过在采访中设计师透露想要颠覆以往科幻片认知里的银色宇航服形象，影片只有150分钟，但设计了超过1000套服装。
他们拆解过去的历史来诠释未来，
以中世纪宫廷为蓝本，再融合塔罗牌、炼金术等等，
形成很有意思的文化拼贴。
