Zilliqa這個項目來自新加坡，不少團隊成員都是新加坡國立大學(NUS)出身，它是一個公有區塊鏈平台，希望籍著Sharding技術來解決以太坊現有的問題。
Sharding的大體概念是把任務分成小份，如果說傳統區塊鏈有10000個礦工在解決一個問題，Sharding就是把這些礦工分成多個小組，比方說每個1000人，來分別解決不同的問題。
其實以太坊2.0版本以後也會採用Sharding技術，但還在測試中。
之前Zilliqa在亞馬遜內部測試網測試時實現了每秒的交易量突破了2488筆，成績驕人，不但遠比比特幣和以太坊快，還連Visa能達到的交易量也超越了。
共識機制：實用拜占庭容錯算法(pBFT, practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance)
