Steemit has been already witnessed so many defining landmarks events in its brief period of existence. Now we are reaching the next big one, the New Year. But just before that, Christmas time is upon us! A first in the young life of Steemit.

Congratulations, Steemit!

So what better way to celebrate than enjoying some awesome food and snacks with family and friends which is exactly what I did. Good times for everyone!

Normally, breakfast is the usual run-of-the-mill affair of beans on toast before work, but not today. Here’s a selection of some cool snacks I enjoyed and what I consider a perfect combination in the morning!

"Holly tree" crumpets! Perfect choice for today I’m sure you’d agree!

Spinach and mozzarella cheese balls! Usually I never have enough time to prepare these but on a lazy day like this, the rules go out the window, lol! Very tasty and highly recommended for you to try (If you want to know the actual recipe, please contact me via steemchat.).

Soft, fresh Ciabatta bread with black olives straight from the local bakery. Spread with some butter or dipped in virgin olive oil, it’s simply divine!

Recently picked up this new egg mould but never had a chance to try it out. There were a few to choose from but I decided on the egg-mobile! A little light fun to add onto your Christmas breakfast plate.

The perfect finishing touch. A freshly made latte made from my small coffee machine.

Christmas Dinner with Family and Friends

Evening at Christmas is simply the best as it allows loved ones to join together and have a great time drinking and eating well into the early hours. Here are some of the goodies that were on offer to enjoy.

The grand Christmas tree with a bunch of presents waiting to be opened underneath on Boxing Day.

Wouldn’t be complete without these, right? Lol, don’t worry, we didn’t finished the whole lot (We left one bottle over for the next day!).

The hidden present just waiting to be opened the following day. Can’t wait!

Time to break out the Presecco and put the “Merry” into “Christmas”.

Some nice glasses of bubbly to start the evening off.

More of that great tasting Ciabatta bread (Now the secret is out how much I actually enjoy it, lol.).

Deliciously spicy unseeded spicy olives served with a selection of dips. They are (in order from top to bottom) mozzarella cheese mixed with sun-dried tomatoes, olive tapenade and garlic and herb cream cheese.

Chicken and prawn stuffed spring rolls as starters just before the main course.

A succulent, juicy leg of lamb seasoned overnight in various herbs and spices.

The main dinner just before we start devouring everything on the table, lol!

Fun, friends, laughter and happy memories!

Overall, this was a fantastic Christmas and a very memorable one to boot. At the end of the day, all you need is great company and a fun atmosphere. That’s how it should be for everyone around the world as it’s a time of celebration and unity. Even if some of us come from different ethnic backgrounds and faiths, the joy of spending it surrounded with love and happiness should not be underestimated.

Steemit在极其短暂的时间内取得了不少重要的成就。现在我们很快又要到达另一个里程标，那就是新年！不过在此之前，还有我们的圣诞节！而这个，也是Steemit的“第一次”。

恭喜啦，Steemit！

有什么比和家人朋友一起谈天论地，享受美食更好的庆祝方式呢？这就是我的圣诞计划，呵呵。

通常，早餐是上班前匆忙准备的烤土豆吐司，但今天可不同。以下是一些我喜欢的小吃，一个完美的早餐组合！

圣诞树烤饼！很应节吧，呵呵！

菠菜奶酪球！通常我不会有足够的时间来准备这些小吃，但今天在这个懒惰的日子，当然例外咯！非常美味，强烈推荐大家试试（如果你想知道食谱，请通过steemchat与我联系）。

Ciabatta黑橄榄面包是在附近的面包店买的，新鲜松软。涂上牛油或沾上橄榄油，很好吃！

圣诞前刚刚买了新的蛋模具“ egg-mobile”，绝对为我的圣诞早餐增添了不少乐趣！

再加上咖啡机做的新鲜咖啡拿铁，这就完美了，呵呵。

与朋友共享圣诞晚餐

圣诞节的傍晚时分是最美好的，因为一家人或朋友们能聚集在一起开怀畅饮，共进晚餐。

圣诞节怎能没有这些呢，呵呵？ 不过别担心，我们并没有全部干掉，起码会留下一瓶明天继续，哈哈！

等不及第二天把所有的礼物都打开！

从Presecco香槟开始，祝大家，圣-诞-快-乐！

品尝更多的Ciabatta面包（现在你知道我有多喜欢它了吧，呵呵）

可口辛辣的橄榄，奶酪和番茄干，大蒜乳酪混合酱，都是自家做的。

前菜是鸡和大虾春卷，以及培根卷肉肠。

美味多汁的羊肉腿是昨天晚上就开始用各种调料来腌制的。

菜上齐了，开餐吧！

大家开心的笑脸和美好的回忆！

总的来说，这是一个难忘的圣诞节，其实我们最需要的是有陪伴身边的家人和朋友，以及大家在一起的融洽气氛。这是大家合家团聚，共同庆祝的特别日子。无论我们来自哪里或有不同的信仰，大家都不应该忘记这个充满了爱与幸福的季节。
