我的留學週記 #1︰我終於來到英國了!!!!

上大學以後一直有一個心願，就是要到外國留學，看看這個世界到底是怎樣的，體驗一下其他地方的生活文化，也順道學習獨立 是的，我在家裡是伸手黨，嘿嘿。

這個學年，我很開心有機會來到英國當交換生，終於可以一償心願了，我會在這裡跟大家分享我的留學經歷和趣聞，將不定期更新 (如果課業不繁重的話，真的希望多寫點喔!!)，如果大家有關於外國生活的趣事，也可以在下面留言喔!!

來到英國的第一週，身邊的人事都一下子換新了，心裡既興奮又緊張，但很多時候都是戰戰兢兢的︰不知道宿舍、超市在哪裡，不知道早午晚餐要吃甚麼，不知道別人問 “How do you do?” 的時候要答甚麼，十萬個不知道，但這些「不知道」往往在鼓起勇氣嘗試以後又能解決了。這讓我想起英子的「闖練，闖練。」無論甚麼因難的事，只要硬著頭皮去做，就闖過去了。

對新生來說，第一週充斥著各式各樣的迎新活動，有不同學會擺放攤位，像是瑜珈學會、雞尾酒學會、Sherlock Holmes學會、無伴奏合唱學會、投資學會等等，還有很多Taster activities，讓大家「嚐一口」那些學會，在入會前更認識它們的背景和活動。在花多眼亂的同時，突然感覺自己又回到那個有很多選擇的時刻，還是幸運的。

除了學會，大學裡還有各種各樣的Welcoming Party，像Speed friending (可不要誤會成Speed dating咯，哈哈)、早餐國際聚會 (International Breakfast)……

這是其他交換生和我在一個Tea Party中拍照留念，英國人真的很喜歡喝茶呢!

                        Oh! HK sends all the exchange students names to the HKU UK Alumni every year and the members each select a few to mentor while the student is in UK. Drop me a msg if you want to get in touch with them, they do a great Poon Choi gathering in CNY.
