听说华盛顿的樱花开了，我们就从加州飞去了华盛顿，赶赴这场春天的盛会。
虽然华盛顿的樱花长在美国，其实她们是正规的日本“血统”：1912年，日本东京市长尾崎行雄（Yukio Ozaki）访问美国时赠送给美国6000株樱花，代表着和平和两国的友好；赠送美国的樱花其中3000株在纽约，3000株在华盛顿。
当时的美国第一夫人海伦塔夫脱（Helen Herron Taft）和日本大使夫人在华盛顿的潮汐湖西边亲手栽下最早的两棵樱花。如今，再看到这里的樱花，璀璨得如同美丽云彩，令人迷醉。
欣赏美丽的樱花时，偶遇一位老画家，正在用手中的画笔记录这美好的景色：
结束了一天的旅途，我们准备去了，没想到竟然给了我一个大大的惊喜！
小时候家乡田野地头常看见的一种蓝色的可爱小花竟然在华盛顿被发现。小时候，我一直都把这种花当成是“春天的使者”，因为只要一看到这种花，就意味着春天来了。
蓝蓝的，像星星一样点缀在绿叶中，散发着春天独有的芬芳气息，真是令人陶醉。
