A lot of people may not know what a cnc machinist is so I figure I would try and describe what it is. A cnc machinist is like a technician who either sets-up a cnc machine or operates one by loading steel or aluminum parts into it. It is a skilled labor job that requires the employee to have a background in machine shop theory learned in school or with prior experience. Many companies today are in dire need of skilled machinist, It is in high demand! Basic math skills is a must and knowing how to use the measuring instruments is part of the daily routine. Today's machinist work with very sophisticated computerized machines. Back in the old days it was known to be a very messy and dirty job. but walking into today's modern machine shops is like walking into a futuristic spaceship with all it's advanced machine technology. If you are looking to change your career to something more exciting you should look into it. I love my job and find it very stimulating. Just imagine of all the cool things you can make out of aluminum or any exotic steel. it pays very well to, the more skilled you become the more money you make. Go look at all the job postings in any online employment site and you will see all the openings. Hope you look into it some more and maybe become interested in this field, we really need brilliant people with a broad imagination to engineer the future.cnc.jpg

I use Solidworks along with Solidcam to make my programs. I wanted to post a video but not sure how to do it yet! lol! Not sure if it's allowed. Thanks for the reply!

Well if you upload the video at YouTube and put the link here, you can post it.

For Steeemit sure is allowed, but i don´t know about your job.

Yeah you are right! I will get on that and post the link! Thanks! :-)
