Facebook has removed a number of top officials including Myanmar's army chief and an Instagram account to prevent genocide, rogues and false information in Rakhine. This information has been confirmed in a statement from Facebook on Monday. Facebook has taken this step after review.
The announcement comes after Facebook's call for UN investigators to face the trial of the army chief and the other five top commander on charges of genocide of Myanmar's minority Rohingyas.
In a statement, Facebook said 20 people and organizations of Myanmar's army chief, Senior General Min Aung Lingsh were banned on Facebook. This step is only because communal and religious tensions do not grow anymore.
"We have taken various steps considering human rights from the beginning of this year," the statement said. Since many people use Facebook, it is our huge responsibility. It is determined to be more careful in the future. '
On the same complaint, Instagram has closed an account in Myanmar and 52 pages have been closed. In the statement, 46 of the pages and 12 accounts of the accounts were supported in the case of the genocide in Myanmar due to the ban.
The UN-supported fact-finding mission said that the top Gen. of the country's top Gen. should be brought to justice under the supervision of Senior General Min Aung Liang, Chief of Army Staff for the genocide in North Rakhine state. In the Rakhine, Kachin, Shan state, the war for crimes against humanity and the war criminals have sought the same step.
