Today is the day, when all the hype of the annual festive Chinese New Year comes to a wraps, where many singles anticipate this day while families will have their last chance to have their super huge family reunion as the Chinese Community in the world completes their celebration of welcoming the Spring.
每年将完结的庆欣春节的这一天终于到了，许多单身男女都在期待着这一天，而多数的家庭将乘机再次超欢家庭团聚。
This is the last day to eat as much as you like, before you head of to go on another 2 weeks of exercising and dieting.
这是你最后一天能够大吃大喝，然后再去用另外两周的运动和节食,恢复正常哦！
Today is the day where I finally succeeded holding unto my ang pows (blessed packets) without opening them; and to me, this is my annual present opening day for me.
对我来说，今天可是"开礼物"的时刻哦！我终于能够完成不到元宵，不开红包的自我传统习惯了！
It could be an odd practice, but it is also to hold unto your blessings until last day of the celebration before releasing it out. Just like @kimzwarch wrote about his meaning of What's Red Packet (Angpau) Meant to You?|红包的意义, it is a significant moment for all of us.
这可能是一种奇怪的做法，但吭吭地等待到庆幸的最后一天才一次过释放全部赠送你的"红包"祝福，对我来说可蛮有意思的。就像@kimzwarch 之前曾经在他的红包的意义文章分享过。

While the rest of the young ones might not agree, today to them is the ultimate "looking for a partner" day! Hopeful young ones will bring their respective bananas and mandarin oranges to be tossed out for their wish for a partner to come true.
Some of them even write their phone numbers, with a notation, "only limit for the next 24 hours only"
But honestly, I actually do not know young men use bananas to toss it haha. It could be an easier differentiation of gender who tosses it.
而其他年轻人可能不同意，今天对他们来说是最佳“寻找伴侣”的日子呢！
期望的年轻人会把他们各自的香蕉和橘子扔出去，希望他们的伴侣梦想能够成真。
他们当中甚至会写下他们的电话号码，并附上符号“仅限接下来的24小时”
但说实话，我其实并不瞧得男的是使用香蕉。可能是比较容易判断是男的还是女的抛的吧。

While others (who are single) scrabbles to look for a mandarin orange, I just shared my last one with my colleagues. haha.

@littlenewthings Someone shared with me that they would keep their ang pao until the next CNY and then open it! You heard of anything like that before? Is it like a tradition or something?

that i am uncertain @kimgoh , but I usually do not open it until i need it. Haha.
Some used to keep then because they are usually new notes, and it can be recycled to be used on the next cny.
