Interesting article about the poaching of the whooping crane and why they are killed in the first place. I hate to see the killing of these beautiful animals, and why, to save a few crawfish? I guess education is the best hope we have for saving threatened animals and protecting nature. Too bad there is no way to police the entire outdoors. I hope the whooping crane population can hang on long enough to gain a foothold in Louisiana again.....
