The Australian startup operating in the shopping industry has recently been listed on Cobinhood - the first zero trading fee cryptocurrency exchange.
The listing happened on April 12th.
Shping tries to solve the eternal problem of counterfeit and propose its own way to allow users to verify the authenticity of products through the supply chain, all the way through to the point of purchase.
Users can scan the products barcodes using the Shping app and obtain in real time information on the product, the manufacturer and the reseller.
The information are provided by brands, retailers, government institutions, certification agencies, customs, product recall portals and GS1 and stored into the Shping's Global Product Database.
In order to push the adoption of the app Shping launched its own token - ticker name “SHPING”. The token will be reward-based and be distributed from producers and resellers to users for their involvement and engagement with the products.
Being exclusively listed on the Cayman Island based crypto-exchange will give Shping and its service a very strong among a selected public and further visibility as a shopping tool.
