Once, an incredible savant from a remote land went to King Krishna Deva Raya's court. He asserted that he knew about all subjects and was a specialist in each field. He tested that he would contend with the greater part of his savvy pastors and annihilation them. The lord acknowledged his test. The intellectual at that point continued to contend with the educated men of the kingdom on different subjects. The ruler's priests bombed wretchedly. At that point, the lord summoned his most shrewd priest, Tenali raman.
Tenali took a little package from his home, gave it the state of a book and tied it up. At that point, he went to the court and reported that he was prepared to contend against the savant however on the condition that the subject of their open deliberation would be founded on the immense book 'Thilakashta Mahisha Bandhanam'. The considerable intellectual was baffled when he heard this since he had never known about any such book. He requested that the ruler give him one evening time to plan for the contention. He was restless throughout the night. He couldn't bear the prospect of losing so he took every one of his things and left the city before dawn. He cleared out a note for the lord saying that he had never known about the colossal book.
The following day, at the named time Tenali showed up in court for the verbal confrontation. Yet, he was educated that the savant had effectively left. The ruler being a scholarly man needed to peruse the immense book that Tenali had specified, so he got some information about it. Tenali chuckled and answered that there was no such book called 'Thilakashta Mahisha Bandhanam'. Inside the package, there was til which is called Thila in Sanskrit and some sheep excrement which in Sanskrit is known as Kashta. These substance were tied by a rope made of bison's conceal which is called Mahisha. Bandhanam alludes to 'tying' in Sanskrit.
This is the way Tenali deceived the savant into trusting that there was an extraordinary book that the savant was totally uninformed of. The ruler valued Tenali's knowledge and compensated him.
