I had had athletes foot ever since I got it in the showers of middle school. Never could really manage it. I wore sandals, used toxic creams, baking soda, etc etc etc. At best it disappeared for a bit then came back with a vengeance. I might have been able to keep it at bay with the toxic creams you get at the drug store or a drs prescription (same stuff really) but it is expensive and can cause liver damage.
I did it finally though. I applied coconut oil to my toes after my shower everyday for a month. My fugal infection is gone. My athlete's foot is gone, my nails are healthy, my skin is healthy, even my calluses seem better. Ok, a little disclaimer here. I still have to apply it every few days to keep the AF from coming back. After all, the source of the athletes foot in internal so until I can figure out how to get that addressed I still have to apply the coconut oil periodically.
I have also learned that periodic application to underarms and crotch gets rid of heat rash.
It doesn't take much. (I've been using the same dedicated jar for over a year.) I dont smell like a coconut. I'm not worried about toxicity and I'm not spending a fortune.
No particular brand is necessary. I'm not here to sell anything. I do want to let people like me know about it. I wish I had known this 20 years ago.
