It really depends on how complex a page source code is. Every browser these days provides a debugging tool which can be used to inspect each elements and their behaviors. But if the page is too large, it might be too overwhelming for a beginner to understand. I am certainly for learning to code as opposed to using drag and drop tools but code should be simple for beginners.
