External storage devices such as SD cards are good at storing data but, they’re delicate and could easily break upon being mistreated. When your card stops working, you could lose lot of

applications but also, restore music files that are from legal source. Tips to restore files If your SD card has stopped working, you shouldn’t format the disk; remember, you have precious data on it. Initially, try to use a different card reader.
There are many free applications which help you to recover data from corrupt or ‘dead’ memory cards. While using such applications, there’s no guarantee that you’d get your files back intact. You
might lose the original file names of the restored files, which could create an issue for some people.

1)Open Windows Explorer.
- If the card is being shown in the device, right click on it.
- Select Properties and choose the Tools tab.
4)Click on Check. - Windows will scan the card for errors and try to fix them.
If the SD card doesn’t appear in Explorer,
1)Open Start menu.
2)Type Disk Management in search and open it.
3)In this tool, the drives appear. Identify your SD card driver.
4)Right click and use the available options to give it a drive letter or format it to a file system so that, Windows could read and allocate a letter.
5)Further after go back to Windows Explorer and restore your files.
After following these tips, you could easily recover files from a dead SD card.
