a wrote a post this morning detailing some woes, sounding them out just to really get them off my chest, it’s important to me to get them out of my head into the world, in front of me, characters on a page. it has a better resonance for me for action when i’m not just not in nemo fish shiny shiny and dora absent minded as to my next action. it breeds action. i like action.

a virtual friend @lloyddavis (more virtual that local) sent me some steam dollars as a gift with a message ‘hope it helps’ - of course it helps, it all helps, every moment we share a moment, get a notification, a memo, an alert of acknowledgement from the human race elsewhere in the planet that they stopped for a moment viewed, engaged or committed to stop and take some time out, you help. forget the money in this instance (well don’t but you get my drift) it’s about the carrier message it carries.. .

i have compassion, i am here.

and this is where the true power of social and social media lies, in the resteem, the re-distribution of messaging, passing it forward like some in the night black clad messaging ninja distributing the message to those that will listen, the way lloyd was able to manage to travel across america by train and meet lots of people, to engage and live by travelling in and out of others peoples timezone and frame of reference.

the more i get into crypto the more i see old outdated ideas that have some how become everyday barriers to entry since my time of being aware and awake on planet earth, i’m not sure exactly when that was, maybe when something went drastically wrong for the first time and it made me consider the why. i’m not sure. but money itself can be a barrier that create a vortex of reflection and grabbing at straws short thought process. we go into a panic, dismay, adaptation, we try and scale from the point we decide to make it worth thinking about.

sure, the donation becomes material, turns out the part in the piece was that he could not see me without coffee. imagining it from lloyds side he understands how much better i function when my neutrons are in full spectrum mode and are the human equalivent of the hadron collider - we can call it the campbell confusion for now in place of a more snappier title.

what are those facets we have in each of us that decide the value in another, what makes us want to make sure they get through, why did the news caster woman in deep impact give up her place for the helicopter ride for her friend and her daughter committing herself to a certain death standing next to her father on a beach when the asteroid smashed into the ocean.

these events, often profound are based i believe on the way we see the world around us, more are prepared than others, more alert, finding karma and semblance of balance in different things. things we own, what we have seen and what we share - be it material, religious or otherwise. we all have something that makes us human in our own way. the way we humanise those engagements and vocalise it is often down to us.

the create open ledger of our lifetimes

the blockchain then, this globally distributed database of entries (btw, can we have some resilience in the image part, i’d hate to see a blockchain with dead links, can we come up with some kind of distributed media referencing blockchain as well, like the way back machine but for blockchains, nothing worse than tracking back legacy to see no photos or videos - i realise storage is an issue, maybe have some kind of amazon glacier cold file storage that we don’t touch and you pay to play - free idea, use it, make it) is an open book, a digital notebook for the vocal and connected.

the value of my connection with @lloyddavis through this open ledger could i guess be seen in many ways, the same as the twitter graph and the facebook graph before it, it shows connections, ideals, basic marketing data, maybe decision making or potential ideals collecting and cross referencing by super computes bigger than where you live - but until AI is more human it will never feel what those people mean to use on an emotional macro level. they will never understand those waypoint, reference memory moments that mean those people are never truly forgotten, you share with your fellow humans moment that permeate time itself, by creating a record of it, your experiencing it too.

can you move human value around

we can move money around, crypto around, we can bet on it, we can invest in we can watch it go high and low, we can convert it and make it work for us, we can transform it into material things that someone else has attached value too. can the same be said of those look, the handshake, the mention, the expression, the compassion of collectively caring for another by an action that cannot often be imitated, it’s personal, it’s unique and it stays with you. only you truly know in your own multi facetted way what it means.

when i think of money now i think of time, how much time does it get me back, by investing, purchasing something what time will it give me back, what time does it allow others to effectively use, i’m not looking for the ultimate answer to my many questions. i’m optimising my survival time because that’s all we truly have in our own bubbles of reality. this. moment. right. now.

transforming collective culture

each and every moment of today someone somewhere in the world will be changing their world and the world of others maybe on the other side of the planet at the click of a mouse, smiling quietly to themselves when reviewing a photo, happy or sad how a moment played out and we will do that in a million operations in a tenth of a second. the digital sandboxes we frequent are themselves creating human value in the way they wrap around us like our favourite warm jumper

peer to peer which once for me started with napster has grown far beyond anything i could have ever imagined but it took a series of human thoughts to do that very thing to make something incredible happen, it took imagination to imagine a better way of doing things, to tweak, adjust and shape what we have always known and to layer on top of that efficiency and speed, to smooth out the kinks that give us humans mental anxiety and stresses, we are collectively transforming the human global collective.

and that is why, for me, people like lloyd and others will always be on my ankh, my engram, they are people that cannot be replaced by technology or algorithms, they are deep imprinted tactile all senses moments that can never be forced by the current methods of VR and all things technical. until the day we start messing with our human dna and brain chemistry that is.

nope, the technology we have is little more than a transport to be together with our tribe, our collective and we should hold it at the highest of regard at the top of the tree way above the need to make things things faster. the value exchange is in the shared moments together that change our motives and our ideals that shape us to reflect on how to be more accountability to ourselves and the lives of others.

after all, we only have one planet right?
