Cold brew coffee, I have been converted!

Let me tell you what, I was told about “cold brew” coffee a long time ago. I, ignorantly, thought it was cold coffee, and I don’t like my coffee cold, so I avoided it. WHAT A MISTAKE!

Cold brew coffee makes it taste SO MUCH better, it also provides more caffeine, if you’re into that sort of thing. It reduces the acidity in the coffee and ACTUALLY makes it taste sweeter, naturally. It’s the best.

It’s also extremely easy to make. Just put coarse ground coffee in a jar or a bowl, your desired amount, like a coffee pots worth or a cup, I make big batches, so at least a coffee pots worth. Fill up with cold water, filtered/purified is obviously the best, cover it and set in the refrigerator or leave out for anywhere from 12-24 hours. I’ve left my first brew in for 36 hours because I forgot all about it and it was fine. Then you strain the grounds out. You can also store the cold brew in your fridge for up to 2 weeks! Coffee isn’t lasting that long in my house, haha.

Now if you make it in a big batch it’s like a concentrate, so what I do is I mix it with hot water per cup to make me a hot cup of coffee. I usually make a 12-14 oz cup of coffee a day. image.jpg

Enjoy, you won’t go back to hot brewed coffee anytime soon after making it this way. Peace!
