Coffee culture in the people of Aceh is very thick. This is because the quality of their original coffee is very good, even already internationally recognized. Aceh Coffee or more popular with Gayo Coffee is one of the best recognized specialty coffee in the world because of its rich character and strong body. Starting from 1908, when the Dutch colonial government brought arabica coffee to Takengon and made the area as the first coffee plantation because of geographical conditions in the form of a series of hills, fertile soil, and a fairly high rainfall would be a distinct advantage for coffee plants. Even so, the current type of robusta coffee is already widely developed there.

So no wonder if you go there, many coffee shops stand and always crowded. Good modern or still traditional coffee shop. So, there's nothing wrong with you hanging out, enjoying a cup of coffee and a warm chat while in town
