REVEALED: Your £2 coin could be worth HUNDREDS of pounds

According to Greek mythology, it depicts the moment when Hercules was ordered to steal a magical girdle from Amazonian queen Eurystheus.
Dozens of the coins have sold for up to £200 on eBay since the start of the year, suggesting collectors are desperate to get their hands on them.
A bidding war broke out before one auction ended this week, with a total of 31 bids rising the final price for the £2 coin to £360.
The sale is likely to have been sparked by the fact that it's uncirculated, which means it's considered very rare, especially when in pristine condition.

However, circulated editions have also been known to fetch a mint.
The coins were released in Gibraltar, the British Overseas Territory surrounded by Southern Spain.
Just days ago a circulated £2 coin depicting the fifth labour of Hercules, the Greek hero cleaning King Augeas's stables, sold for £295.

In the fable, King Augeas owned more cattle than anyone in Greece – thousands of cows, bulls, sheep and horses – and Hercules was charged with cleaning up all the stables in a single day.

He did it by diverting a river through them.

All in, the entire collection of 12 coins has been listed on eBay for £7,250.

The collection aren’t the only rare £2 coins out there.

ChangeChecker said that recently issued £2 coins, such as the 2016 Shakespeare Tragedy £2, or the 2016 Great Fire of London £2, are a big hit with collectors.

The 2002 Commonwealth Games Northern Ireland coin is also sought after and has recently sold on eBay for between £450.
