I wanted to buy EOS using my Ether on my Coinbase Ether wallet today so I placed a request to send Ether from my Coinbase wallet at 5:13pm PST today before the EOS. It is now 9:58pm PST and it is still pending from Coinbase. After anxiously waiting for this transfer to go through I just saw this message on my Coinbase account:
Ethereum Transaction Delays
We're currently working through a backlog of Ethereum withdrawals. Recent or new outbound transactions may remain pending longer than expected.
The EOS period 0 auction will end at 5am PST tomorrow morning which is in 7 hours. This is a bad experience with Coinbase as the delay in not acceptable. I am about to miss out on the EOS period 0 auction unless my Ether transfers successfully from my Coinbase to Metamast so that I could buy EOS tokens.
Follow up note: The Coinbase is still pending and it as 17 hours after I initiated the request!!! I am hearing other people having the same problem with Coinbase. What are other options here for a better exchange?

I have been trying for over a week now to upload my ID as requested. Your system DOES NOT WORK! I have tried on 4 different devices and browsers. After, being totally frustrated I have decided to give up and close my account. Now, you won't let me withdraw my funds to my bank account, my account is closed, and you are holding my money hostage until you get my ID uploaded, but your system won't work!!! I will be copying and pasting this message to post on every social media website, and cryptocurrency blog, and urging all people to stay far far away from Coinbase if my funds are not returned to my bank IMMEDIATELY!!! This is RIDICULOUS! Your system is TERRIBLE!!! GIVE ME MY MONEY NOW!!!!!

As far as I can see, some of your other options are:
Poloniex: but I've heard things can be just as bad.
Bittrex : some issues but not quite as bad
Gemini: I'm looking into it now.
Cryptopia: don't know.
Yobit: don't know.
Probably a load of others too. But at least that gives you something to go on.
