The founder of Coincheck accepted the proposal to buy the platform from the Monex group .
Yesterday we talked about a possible acquisition of the Coincheck exchanger by the multinational Monex. Nikkei Asia has just confirmed that the sale will take place and that Yusuke Otsuka , the founder of Coincheck has accepted the public offer of Monex (several billion yen).
Coincheck in turmoil
Between the $ 500 million NEM hack and the latest Japanese FSA guidelines , Coincheck had little choice but to close the door. Monex arrives as a savior and as explained yesterday, Monex wants to completely overhaul the company so that it is compliant and get a license from regulators.
Monex is an online brokerage company founded in 1999 in Japan , it is present in Europe, the USA and throughout the Asian continent, this huge company wants to start the business of the exchange of virtual currencies.
