CoinCollector V5 - Multi-Faucet Autoclicker

in coincollector •  8 years ago

I wasn't intending to be rude, I'm just pointing out some pretty obvious problems imo.
Also, none of this was a false accusation.

1 - Great! So 1 legit problem fixed.

2 - So your saying you're using the same sort of encrypted packers that malware use to hide their code signatures - and your motivation is personal profit. Gotcha.

The problem with whitelisting a wildcare domain is that I (or ANYBODY) could easily use the same url scheme.Someone that followed your advice would be completely vulnerable to me serving blatant malware from https://www.autoclickbots.steemviz.com or any random free dns provider.

3 - You "not being phased" is a bad attitude. How could someone downloading your software be sure that it hasn't been MITM'd and replaced with completely different malware in transit, without any way to verify it. This is a problem when you're telling people to disable their security software and to "just trust you". It also makes the virustotal link worthless, since we have no idea if the virustotal results are even remotely related to the software you're trying to push. See the issue yet ?

4 - Again, your personal desire for profit isn't more important then other peoples security and privacy.

Telling me your the most honest person ever, just makes me distrust you even more.
At least we agree on one thing, I am entitled to my own opinion thanks.

Awww, come on, ... wrong foot and all that,
cant we try that again ?

Hey there,
Im CJ, nice to meet you :)

Ok lets be cool guys. I am familiar with both of you and you 2 are great guys to me. I think there has been a misunderstanding and @ausbitbank I appreciate you looking out for the platform but this was his first post and this is discouraging to see. Especially seeing a FLAG(not by you). @cyber-junkie, you are learning the ropes here on steemit and you are not new to receiving these types of comments. You are free to post the content you produce. If you have haters, well just let them hate.

Its ok mate, I havent got any beef with him,
im not keep on being accused/slandered without a good reason but after being a developer for so long these comments come ten a penny, I sincerely doubt either of us will lose any sleep over it.

The way i see it is that there are a handful of comments similar to the chaps above and 25000+ people who love this bot (and my other software of course lol) ,
So thats a good enough ratio for me to continue doing what I love :)

Ive read through your comment a few times, nothing there really bothers me that much,
Im not over the moon about being verbally attacked on my first post and what really should be the "warm welcome" stage, ..

and i really didnt feel the need to drag it out, ...
but there is just 1 comment up there that i really think is wrong ..
"your personal desire for profit isn't more important then other peoples security and privacy."

That is 100% correct in every way possible, .. but at no point did i say that,
That is putting words in my mouth, in fact your statement doesn't hold any validity unless "other people's security and privacy" are at risk, .. which is simply not true and CAN be indefinitely proved.

I dont want to argue with you dude, but if there were anything "wrong" with CoinCollector or any of my software dont you think someone out of 25000+ customers in nearly 2 years would have noticed by now ?

I can see you have been here a while and respected by the members, hell if bitcoinparadise says your a good chap then its got to be true, ..
I just felt a bit singled out if you know what i mean.

anyway, it kinda looks like you have already made your mind up about me, so i guess it is what it is.

Thanks
CJ

sigh ..

I don't want to argue and drag this out, I've already said what I thought and pointed out some pretty clear facts (not accusations).

simply not true and CAN be indefinately proved

Anyone that's been paying attention for the last decade knows that ad networks are a major infection vector. You can't "indefinately prove" anything, you refuse to even positively identify WHAT code you claim is safe (by not providing a unique file hash).

I'm really surprised nobody else had pointed any of this out to you before tbh, this makes me doubt the validity of your "25k+ customers" claim if this is how you react .

Years of scams and malware specifically targeted to noob crypto users makes me extremely suspicious of this type of software, and I still think my comments were valid.

You're asking people to disregard basic security practices / opsec for a max reward of A FEW CENTS versus a max risk of EVERYTHING they have on their machine (ie: wallet, identity, this varies by person).

I'm sorry you're so offended by me pointing out facts, but at no point did you "verbally" (or textually) attack you, I simply wrote a list of problems I see with your approach to software distribution in the nicest way I could think of.

I'm just blunt - that doesn't make it an attack and I really (still) don't have any issue with you at all.

Not going to keep responding about this, I think anyone that reads my comments with a clear head can see what I'm saying and why..
