Well folks it's been a mind blowing weekend. I have had the opportunity to expand my mind without taking anything, well maybe a free glass of Champagne or three. The #CoinFestUk was my first event of this kind, and what an experience even met a few fellow Steemians for good measure.

Being fairly amateur in the field of crypto this conference was eye opening. I got into Crypto back in 2016 and made a bit, invested some and spent. This came from my own research. Now I made some bad investments but some that still paying off today. Most of this research came from reading on the internet and watching video's; not ideal and a potential minefield, but I am still here and not doing too bad.

It was fascinating to see what is developing in the Crypto world especially for me anyways the encryption such as storing / transferring Crypto in pictures of cats for example; mind blowing. Also the ability to make transactions without the Internet, in my opinion the major bonus that clears up the problem of the internet being turned off (but highly unlikely). There is so much going on in this world that I did not have a clue about and still don't to be honest.

What did @vibeof100monkeys learn then?

First was #Digibyte - I spoke with these guys for a while very helpful and friendly. Also meeting @stephenkendal who does an amazing job of promoting Digibyte here on Steem. I set up my wallet there and then and experienced the speed of #Digibyte, cracking. The decentralised nature of it is right up my street too and probably most of you here on #Steemit.

In keeping with it's reputation for security there was also a lot of information about Digi-ID. A brilliant way to securely login to any platform. I will be contacting my favourite sites to request they adopt this system. The first thing that I was told about that will revolutionise how we interact and if websites don't run this system; why the hell not? Security of our data is critical these days, so this little gem needs to be adopted, i'll leave that one with you!

Cudo Miner - A cracking little minning programme. Now I do a touch of minning with BitClub, but this option is free and works well. My computer does not have a GPU so I won't get an real volume of minning down but it ticks along in the background and earns me a wee bit. I am upgrading my computer dreckly so i'm hoping this will improve. Again cracking guys to speak with and very helpful oh yer it'd FREE! Check it out

Flubit.com I love this idea which has been around a while and is an Amazon alternative (a huge bonus in my book, I love an alternative to the mainstream). They market themselves as cheaper than amazon. They also take Crypto of course right up my (our) street. Currently they have 25% off if you use their own Crypto 'MonetaryUnit' and a money back offer. Anything you can pay in Crypto is a bonus and we should all embrace it. So get buying on Flubit and ditch Amazon 👍🏽.

EthBits A great trading platform with copy trading options. Now I spoke in detail with the directors and leant about trading options. Although I don't have much capital to trade with they were very helpfully with advice and supplied me with Champagne. Having not tried this out I can't really comment on it, I think I need to raise some capital before I can get involved. But a nice team and willing to advice EthBits.

These were the many take homes for me this is not to say the only one. However I wanted to mention My Hardware Wallet and Inspiring for the great information on hardware wallets and explanations on how the blockchain really works and the future. Controlling cars with blockchain, security and transferring crypto via carrier pigeon thanks Joe you opened my mind and dissipated any doubts I have crypto is the future!

Also lastly Glen Goodman's talk on trading opened my mind to this and the fact it's actually rather logical and patterns his book will be a new edition to my bookcase, and be read while I save some capital to invest. Yer he is that guy off the BBC (in a pst life).

Anyway that's a wrap for today folks, a big thanks to Adam Rizvi and @marketingmonk for their efforts and brief chats ....

I'm sorry I missed this event - sounds interesting. I didn't even know it was happening. I had signed up for Steemcamp, and booked accommodation in Leicester, as it was a long way from Scotland. Then the date was changed, which I think was because so many Steemians were going to Coinfest. That meant I lost out on my rail ticket and accommodation - luckily I managed to sell the hotel booking on ebay, but it still left me out of pocket to the tune of £60 :(
And Manchester is much easier for me to get to. Ah well - that's life.
I'd be interested to hear more about how you can use the blockchain to control cars. That sounds a bit worrying really!

It was a very worth while trip, shame you didn't make it next year hey! The car thing is mind blowing, so it makes the secure basically allow people to access the car at certain time just by login in with a personal key. The possibilities are endless and unhackable unlike the computers in todays cars. I not the best to explain but the possibilities blew me away 💯🐒

That does sound fascinating. I hate the idea that someone could hack my car and I avoid those computerised ones.

It great stuff ! 💯🐒

I would love to know why @camillesteemer always votes me down every post. Have I said something to offend you? 💯🐒

That makes more sense now, feel sorry for them that they carry that much anger inside poor people 💯🐒

They do the same thing to me around once a week. And they don't post, so we can't message them directly. Except through their wallet.

I think they just enjoy flagging! Thankfully they have some distance to go before they reach the berniesanders level.

Great to see you out there doing it. I would dearly love to attend something like this but they don't seem to have too many in the south of france!

Digibyte are a great team. Have been hodling DGB for a long time and won't be letting go any time soon ;)

Yer guess some people just get kicks out of being nasty. I hope soon they start to feel better in themselves that they don't need to do this, kinda feel sorry for them in a way.

It was my first and well worth it. I will be attending more, I learnt so much. Being a relative amateur in all this is was very useful. Many more to come I'm sure. You should get over to the next one 💯🐒
