Presenting to you our proud kadazan delicacies! Feast your eyes to this mouth watering dish.

This food consists of several dishes. Every Sabahan (Borneo part of Malaysia) would now these dishes. Some grew up with them.
As one noticed, most of the food are easily planted, available in the wilds and some are pickled.

Why?
During the old times, Borneo was colonized by few great powers such as British, Japan.
During those times, getting food was not easy as a phone away.

So the above dishes contain:

1. Hinava (12 o'clock)

• pickled fish with lime, mixed with bittergourd, onion, ginger, garlic, sometimes chillies to spice things up. Added salt to taste.

1. Grilled eggplant with chili pickled in lime juice (1 o'clock).

1. Sambal Belimbing (3 o'clock). Basically, carambola with sambal sauce.

1. Salted egg (boiled), usually duck egg (4 o'clock).

1. Deep fried mackerel to crisp.

1. Sambal Tuhau (6 o'clock). Basically, wild ginger mixed with a bit of lime and chili.

1. Young bamboo shoots cooked with anchovies (8 o'clock).

1. Young jackfruit in coconut cream and turmeric sauce mixed with salted fish (10 o'clock).

1. Last but not least, Steamed rice (brown) in the middle.
