Coinhive VS JSECoin

Sah my dudes, so quite a while ago I told you guys about too cool way to monetize websites without ads, Coinhive and JSECoin. So since net neutrality might be killing us tiny site owners soon, I’d like to be able to compare these to to see if I might be able to pay of a crushing amount of money to get into the “fast lane”.

Coinhive:
Pros:
Easy to use
Uses a battle tested cryptocurrency, Monero
Extensive api
Possible to keep track of user’s hashes mined
Helping To Secure Blockchain
Cons:
30% Fee
If you’re website has low traffic, it’s harder to make money (I’ve had it for 1 year and I’ve made $0.75 lol)

JSECoin:
Pros:
It’s going to be it’s own cryptocurrency
Unpopular, meaning if it gets popular you can make a bunch since you mined early, unlike Bitcoin =’(
Easy To Use
Will have an advertising feature so you can advertise for JSECoin
No Fee
Helping To Secure Blockchain
Cons:
Hasn’t been released yet, meaning it’s not yet on exchanges, and possibly never will

My verdict: It depends, I personally think if you want low quick profits, Coinhive is for you, if you want to possibly mine a new coin very easily, then JSECoin is for you. If you want a great coin that helps science, you should mine Gridcoin (my personal favorite cryptocurrency, with Steem at a close second).

Their miners blocked by many antiviruses : / I prefer gridcash.net.
