The silver coin with a face value of 50 leva was minted in 1930 during the reign of Tsar Boris III. 9 028 000 specimens were mined. The coin was minted at the Budapest Mint (BP), the artist of the coin was Berán Layos (L BERAN).
The obverse of the coin depicts a bust of Tsar Boris III. A pattern of dashes and an inscription (Boris III / KING of BULGARIA) follow the circumference of the coin. Under the bust of Tsar Boris III is the monogram of the BP Mint (Budapest) and the monogram of the coin artist L BERN (Berán Layos).
The reverse in the center shows the denomination of the coin of 50 leva, below the denomination is the date of minting the coin "1930". The denomination and date of minting the coin are wrapped in a circle with a wreath of roses and an ear of wheat, except for a circle with a dash pattern.
The group of coins is smooth with an inscription 'Боже пази България' (God save Bulgaria)
