Coinsmarkets.com has been completely non-functional since around January 2nd, 2018. There is very little communication coming from whoever is running the exchange about when it will be back up.
So far the reasons given for the downtime is due to the database overloading and becoming corrupt.
Despite them saying that the database has been repaired over a week ago, the site is still not functioning. They are currently claiming that the problem is due to the registrar locking their domain, due to complaints.
The only way to get official updates from CM is to refresh their news page, which is only available on an IP address that isn't secure. So I setup a script to download that page every minute, and parse the HTML for new posts.
As soon as a new update is posted on that page, my script saves it and then uses a telegram bot to push the update to this group: https://t.me/cmupdates.
This automation is what makes that telegram group the best place to stay updated on this frustrating issue. We will also provide helpful information that has been verified manually. This group is only for confirmed information and support, not speculation or trolling.
