Following its partnership with Regal Assets , an alternative asset investment company, Swiss luxury watchmaker Frank Muller recently launched its new creation called "Encrypto". This luxury gem worth between $ 9,800 and $ 50,600 implements a cold wallet ( cold storage wallet) for Bitcoin (BTC).
A watch that incorporates a wallet
In proposing its new product, the Swiss watchmaker has declared its allegiance to cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, which it sees as "the gold of the millennium" .
To mark his participation in this quest for democratization, the latter has proposed a watch incorporating a cold wallet for BTC called Encrypto .
It is indeed a portfolio that displays a public address visibly written on the side .
As a corollary, the holder has the private key on USB in his dial.
Frank Muller technically describes cold storage as indestructible by using non-deterministic "True Random Numbers Generated" (TRNGs) generated offline.
Watchmakers are crypto
While major technology brands such as Trezor are snapping up the market share, in Wallets, watchmakers like Frank Muller have found a way to combine "innovation and personal choice" with Encrypto.
In addition, it is not the only watch manufacturer that takes the crypto-coin world to heart.
In fact, Vacheron Constantin started using the Blockchain to trace its products, while Hublot designed a special watch dedicated to the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of Bitcoin in 2018.
