Colourful blessings

collaborategthumb.jpg

This is my contribution to @everlove's Collaborative Art Journey..."REFLECTIONS OF A BLESSING" No. 23.

For this piece the inspiration came from the title of @everlove's picture-"REFLECTIONS OF A BLESSING", and thinking about the blessings I have in my own life. One of those blessings is my garden and the colourful array of plants that fills it. Most days I get to spend time there painting and drawing, and listening to the birds as I do so.

For this piece I took some of my ink drawings of plants and grasses and made a digital collage. I then combined this with @everlove's colourful image.

Soft grasses make my pillow

I close my eyes

The sun's light dances across my eyelids

A spectrum of colour

Flashes of light

Both if the pics are lovely
The colorful and the other one

But speaking about the blessing of ur garden and the colours in it
I'd love to add the blessing of seeing the colours, and how ppl who suffer colour blind deserve respect that they can take this world without seeing the beauty of some of it...

Nice post @opheliafu :)

An interesting thought @marwa

Your stuff has a lot of life to it. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work!!

There are your beautiful grasses again! : ) They have such a feeling of abundance with their robust seedheads! The overlay sure conveys the sense of depth and activity in a real garden! Happy gardening!

My garden is very busy, I like my plants to be layered- no bare earth!

A busy garden is a happy garden! That's a good slogan -- No Bare Earth! ; )

Good Job!!!

Thank you

@opheliafu the first time I see this design, it is very interesting you have.

Looks lit

Stunning piece. Visually so rich and stimulating. Resteemed.

Hiya, just a question here...have you ever considered selling rights to your work for say...book covers? I just love what you do and think some of it would make brilliant covers. I don't mean any offense, it's just that I think works of art should cover the written work of art. :)

Not something I had really considered. This is a collaborative piece though, so not something I could do with this, but maybe the original drawings.

Of course, but as you say, maybe the original drawings. :) I'm serious, it's not something for right now, but it's something to think about, because I would really love that to happen. If you ever decide it's something you want to do.

Very beautiful Collab! I live the way you mixed mediums!

Thank you!

Nice post @opheliafu

Stunningly beautiful!

OHH I love this! I love taking my artworks and combining them with other things digitally. What is your favorite medium to work in?

Cyanotypes, and my second would be oil paints.

Oh I've never worked with Cyanotypes... but I love oils too!

Woow amazing paint

Nice work

Spectacular art work.

Flawless execution! Composition seems busier than usual but it definitely serves the final outcome. The greyscale sure pops in that context!

Thank you for your feedback @introducingmo

It's my pleasure :)

Oh @opheliafu this is really great!! The detail in your drawing is really fantastic. The white and the outline really suits this piece perfectly. And that's a really adorable poem as well. Two blessings in one! Thank you dear friend.

A pleasure my creative friend!

interesting process, i like the result. i look forward to seeing more of you work!
