As local full-time working mother I am persevering every single day to manage my Etsy shop, DerBayz Vintage, while living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
DerBayz Vintage has always been a dream of mine, creating a self-sustaining household income so I can continue to work even when the MS makes that feel impossible. The name DerBayz is very significant to us, as it is a merging of two families. My youngest daughter's last name is Durr (Pronounced Der) and my husband's last name is Boese (pronounced Bayze). When we first started dating all of my friends told me that when I opened my business I should call it DerBayz because it is a great name and it would merge the two families !
I guess it really has. This truly is a family business. My husband and youngest daughter are all helping to make this store a success. My 13 year old daughter helps to clean and inventory the items, my husband helps me restore some of the more injured or neglected items and we all get in the car on Saturday or Sunday (sometimes both) and go searching for new hidden treasures. It is great family time.
